I have been nesting like crazy and so has Loren. He's been doing outdoorsy stuff and I've been doing indoorsy stuff.

| Refinished and hand carved by my sweet husband |
Loren made me the sweetest Christmas gift. At the end of last year after finding out we were expecting, one of our co-workers gave us an old wooden rocking chair. I left it on campus over the summer and didn't end up picking it up until late this Fall. In the meantime, one of our lovely students scratched his name in it. Loren decided to refinish it. I was expecting that he was sanding it down and restraining it, but he went totally over the top. He carved "Liliana" into the back panel and "Lucky to be in love with my best friend" in the the handle bars. I teared up, which is certainty the most emotional I've gotten over a gift since my parents gave me a nintendo for Christmas when I was about five. I'm very lucky to have such a thoughtful husband.

Motivated by his new found handymaned'ness, Loren decided that he also wants to make the changing table. I've been scoping out changing tables online for a while so have a very particular idea of what I want in the space, but I know what he makes will be much more meaningful and most likely look 100 times better than what I had in mind anyways. We found a small thin dresser at the Salvation Army a few weeks ago that is the perfect size. The only problem is I want it to match the crib, so Loren is refinishing it. It's still a work in progress, and I can't wait to get it in the room!

I have been tackling some cleaning and organizing projects that have been on the list for a while; organizing the closets, super cleaning the bathroom and kitchen...that might be about it. More to come, I'm sure. It's really difficult to clean with this giant belly in the way. Increasingly bending over makes me nauseous. Getting things in order has been a much slower process than it would be otherwise.
I've started to put the baby room together and made a little baby nook in the family room by the window. Pictures to come!
