I feel like I might have used that title already...
I think I allowed myself to get a little down and out and hadn't been super motivated to write for a while, but hopefully will be back at it. Lots of updates:
1) BIRTHING CLASS
Loren and I just started a baby class through Swedish Medical Center. It's a 6 week class that you are supposed to have taken and finished 6 weeks prior to your due date. We started 6 weeks before baby is due. Ooops. We've only been to one class so far and while it was interesting, it did not provide much practical information. We learned about the anatomy and physiology of the birth process. Interesting, but wont necessarily help me push a baby out. The most important things we learned:
- The importance of moving around while in labor and trying different positions
- That I am going to be a monster at some points during labor and Loren is going to have to deal with it
- The closer we get to the due date the scarier it is to watch birthing videos.
2) HOLIDAY UPDATE:

| Christmas Day boat ride on the St. Lawrence River |
We had a really nice Christmas in NY, or I should say right over the boarder in Canada, at my parents place on the St. Lawrence River. Baring a few brief incidences of cabin fever it was a super relaxing get away. We got snowed in one extra day. We played cards, ate almost non stop, did puzzles, and I napped (a lot) recovering from the time change, a super hard bed, and an over night flight. It was very nice to be with my husband, parents, and brother. There is something about pregnancy that has been making me feel super nostalgic - wanting to be around family and long time friends. This really was a great trip. We ended up back in Syracuse. My mom and I got to spend a little bit of time baby shopping together while the boys bowled and drank. Then we went out to dinner at Pascals, where Loren and I had our first date, went to dinner the night we got engaged, and went celebrate our marriage on the east coast. This time we got to go while expecting and next time we will go with Liliana. Very ironically, my friend Lisa was thrown a surprise birthday party there the same night. It was SO NICE to see everyone - to be surrounded by familiar faces. Side note: Lisa and her now husband got engaged on the same day as Loren and I in a snowy wooded forest in upstate NY. Funny coincidences. Speaking of that. The next day we planned to meet friends at Highland Forest (where we got engaged) for a snow shoe adventure. On the way we encountered a major snow storm, even for NY standards (by Seattle standards it would be the snow event of the century and the city would be shut down for weeks). We were stuck on the highway for about an hour and arrived massively late. When we got there, friends and family were already there and had turned what I thought would be a snow shoe adventure into a surprise baby shower thanks to the secret planning of my friend, Erika. It was super sweet and so nice to have that extra time to catch up with people and so nice of everyone to brave the weather to be there.

| At Dahlia Lounge |
Before leaving we had a super fun "Downtown Day" with the Demeroutis side of the family. We had an amazing breakfast at Dahlia Lounge and exchanged Christmas gifts. Then we went to see A Christmas Carol, which really made me feel Christmasy. To keep the Christmas spirit alive we immediately ran to a bar to watch the end of some football game....ok, that didn't really work to keep the Christmas spirit alive. To rejuvenate the holiday feel we went to Macy's and had our pictures taken with Santa, who turned out to be somewhat of a perv (the photo's prove it!), and then went to one of Seattle's best steak house's for dinner and had one of those meals that was so good I'll dream about for years.
3) I DECIDED I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO UPDATES IN SEPARATE POSTS TO KEEP THIS FROM GETTING TOO LONG
